Dr. Penelope Brougham MSc., MB.ChB., DipAc(Beijing), DipMedAc, DipClinHyp. Qualified in Medicine in 1976 and worked in the NHS for several years gaining a wide experience before travelling abroad to work.

Dr. Brougham worked in many countries before going to China to study acupuncture. Dr. Brougham now specialises in complementary medicine which is fully integrated into the conventional medical model of history taking, examination and, where appropriate, further investigations.

Dr Brougham’s particular specializations are in acupuncture and hypnotherapy with interests in homoeopathy and nutritional medicine.

T R A I N I N G

Dr. Brougham is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and taught the core curriculum of acupuncture for many years. She is an active member of the society and continues her training in many areas of acupuncture. This complements her grounding in Traditional Chinese Medicine and gives her therapies a very broad base.

Dr. Brougham has gained university degrees in Hypnotherapy and belongs to the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis. She is an active member of the society and attends regular training sessions.
